| Getting to the right place at the right time is NOT what this game is all about. Safety, relaying information to the proper officials, and getting home again is what it is all about. |

| For software on our Dell Inspirion 1520, we highly recommend Gibson Ridge Level 3. Our mobile internet is through Verizon via a PC 770 air card hooked to a Maximum Signal dual band "Rockies" amp. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| An Icom 2720-H 2M/440cm dual band amatuer radio helps us get the word out and stay in close contact with other chasers. The radio is hooked to a Comet CA-2X4SR 5/8 wave antenna. The station callsign is WX0CHS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For the rare times when our internet connection is not available to either being in a remote location or major storm damage to the surrounding cell phone towers, we run WX WORX as a backup system. The XM/Sirius satellite based feed gets us radar and SPC products where we need them the most. This allows us to chase in areas others will avoid due to data gaps. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Inspeed Inc provides us with accurate wind speed ratings. Being storm chasers and not tornado chasers only, we experience a lot of straight line wind events. With this anemometer we are able to relay accurate readings to the National Weather Service to aid in the warning decision process for persons and locations in the path of these sometimes devistating events. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Although it does not get a lot of use, we do have a Uniden PRO538W CB radio. It doubles as a secondary means to montior the NWS All-Hazard radio broadcast as well as hear reports from truckers from time to time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Rounding out our mobile information feed is a Bearcat 350C mobile scanner with an external antenna. Very handy for monitoring Skywarn nets and keeping tabs on reports being relayed to law enforcement/emergency management. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Far from being the craziest set up out there, but this system GETS THE JOB DONE. I stand behind and whole heartedly recommend all of these products. I put them through hell on a regular basis and they keep coming back for more! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
