July 15
Sherburne, Mille Lacs and Wright Counties Minnesota
A powerful X class solar flare on July 12th hurled a CME directly at earth sparking one of the better long lasting geomagnetic
storms with this one lasting 36 hours!  A long day on the night of the 14th into the morning of the 15th kept me from heading out.
In hindsite I should have just sucked it up and went.  After seeing all the stunning images the next morning, I decided to give it a try
the night of the 15th.  Didn't go very far..only about 20 miles north to get away from the glare of St. Cloud, MN off to my west.
But, the high clouds had other ideas and made shots only mediocre despite some wonderfully vibrant colors.  So, called it quits
about midnight and packed it in for the night.  All shots are at 11mm, no crops.
A final shot at home as I admit defeat by the clouds.
