The lowering started showing signs of an RFD erosion wrapping in from the west / southwest. About this time the traffic on the quiet road now picked up substantially as the fleas leeching Timmer followed him down the road. I figured screw it and just held my ground. Question for the leeches...how can you consider yourself a chaser when you can't do it by yourself?? |

As the clown circus was waiting to see what Timmer was going to do, a nice RFD cut appeared but was too strong and just ripped everything apart. Inflow was pretty weak so I wasn't too concerned about having to make a dash east if something did produce. |

I let the RFD cut come in close before moving east and south. Thankfully Timmer decided to go back down to 6 heading east and took the posse with him. I headed east on the back roads which still gave me a great view with none of the hassle. I had chased this area in the past and knew which back roads were good and bad. This was a huge help today. |

Once I got to Altamont, MO, I was no longer in familiar territory and light was gone. Knowing more cells were coming up from the southwest and the low level jet would be kicking in, I dropped off the storm preparing to dodge whatever would be coming at me in the dark. Was erie sitting on top of the hill off 6 east of town shooting lightning video and the sirens were still going off. Looking west at the last light of the day. |

Had a great show of anvil crawlers out in front of the next severe storm coming up from the south. |

Time to head west for the night and get out of the path of this storm. Little hairy as I pulled in to Cameron , MO for the night only to have the storm go tornado warned just as I got to the hotel. Despite all of the lightning, I wasn't able to make out any features from the north side of the meso in the rain as wind rapidly switch from the south west to the north. |
